Link a channel to a client and every request gets its own thread there. Replies go straight to the request, clients approve work with a click, and Dora answers whatever you ask her, in a DM or by mentioning @Dora.

  1. 1

    Add to Slack

In Dora, open company settings, then Slack, and choose Add to Slack. An owner or admin approves it once for your whole Slack.

  2. 2

    Invite Dora to a channel

Invite @Dora to a client's channel and pick the client. Shared channels with the client work too.

  3. 3

    Work as usual

New requests show up with their own thread. Reply in it, mention @Dora, or send her any message from its menu.

Your client work, without leaving the channel.

  • A thread for every request

Each request posts once in its client's channel, with the brief and where it stands. Comments from Dora show up in its thread, and the card updates as the work moves.

  • Replies go to the request

Reply in a request's thread and it lands on the request as a comment, files included. Nobody copies anything over, and the client sees it in their portal too.

  • Clients approve in a click

When work is handed over, it posts with Approve and Ask for changes. In a channel shared with the client, they sign off right there.

  • Ask Dora anything

DM Dora or mention @Dora: "What needs me today?", "Who should take the Acme request?", or "Open a request for Pinewood." Anything she'd change waits for your click.

  • Send to Dora

Any message can become a request. Choose Send to Dora from its menu, pick the client, and Dora opens it with the message and its files and writes the brief.

  • Pinged when it's you

Dora DMs you when someone mentions you or puts you on a request. Everything else stays in the channel, and you can turn the DMs off.

  • Yes. Link a Slack Connect channel you share with a client, and they can reply in a request's thread, ask @Dora for something new, and approve work with a click. Dora only posts what the client can see there: internal notes, team-only files and other clients never reach a shared channel.

  • Exactly what they can do in Dora. Everyone's Slack is matched to their Dora account by email, or they link it once with a button Dora sends them privately. Taking a request is for your team, approving work is for the client, and someone Dora doesn't know can't post anything until they link their account.

  • No. Dora only acts on replies in a request's thread, messages that mention her, DMs to her, and messages you send her with Send to Dora. She doesn't read or store the rest of your channels.

  • No. Slack is included with every plan: your first client is free, and each client after that is $10 a month. Questions to Dora in Slack count against your company's Dora allowance, like asking her in the app.

  • No. Threads, replies, approvals, mentions and DMs work on every Slack plan. Dora also shows up in Slack's AI side panel, which Slack offers on its paid plans.

  • In Dora, open company settings, then Slack, and choose Disconnect. Dora leaves your Slack and linked channels stop getting updates. Requests and comments stay in Dora.
