Connect Linear and Dora can look up the issues and projects your team tracks there, so the client hears where their request stands without anyone leaving the thread to check.
- 1
Open Integrations
In Dora, open Settings and find Linear under Integrations, or search for it.
- 2
Sign in to Linear
Choose Connect. Linear asks you to sign in and allow access, then sends you back to Dora, connected. There's no key to copy.
- 3
Ask, or tag it
Ask Dora in her chat or on a request, or type $Linear to point her at it.
A few things to ask, and what she does with them.
Status in one question
Ask "Where's the Acme checkout bug in Linear?" Dora finds the issue and tells you its state, so you can update Acme on the request.
Draft the client update
Ask "Draft an update for Halcyon from the Linear project for their app." Dora reads the project and writes the update for you to post.
See what's shipping
Ask "Which Linear issues for Pinewood closed this week?" Dora lists them, ready for the handover note.
Your account, your connection
You connect Linear for yourself. Dora uses it only when you ask, and nobody else on your team can reach your Linear through her.
Read-only
Dora only gets the tools Linear marks as read-only. She looks things up; she doesn't edit, delete, or send anything in Linear.
A summary and a link
She brings in what the task needs, summarized, with a link back to Linear, instead of pasting everything into the request.
Dora can look up the issues and projects your team tracks in Linear. You connect your own Linear account, and Dora reads from it when you ask: in her chat, on a request, or while you write one. She only reads, and brings back a summary with a link to the source.
The teams and projects your Linear account can see. She signs in as you, with read-only access.
Only what you post. Dora brings issue details to you; what the client sees is the update you choose to send on their request.
Open Settings in Dora, find Linear under Integrations, and choose Connect. You sign in on Linear's own page and allow access, and you're sent back to Dora, connected. There's no API key to copy.
Only you. Each person connects their own apps, and Dora uses only the connections of the person asking. If a teammate needs Linear too, they connect their own account.
Ask in plain words, like "check Linear", or type $ and pick Linear. It shows as a tag in comments and in Dora's chat, and tells her which app to use for that ask.
No. Integrations are on every Dora plan, including your free first client. Asking Dora counts toward your company's Dora allowance like any other ask, and your Linear plan is separate.
In Dora, open Settings, find Linear under Integrations, and choose Disconnect. Dora stops using it right away.
