Connect PayPal and Dora can check your invoices and payments, so you know who's paid before you chase or start the next phase.

  1. 1

    Open Integrations

In Dora, open Settings and find PayPal under Integrations, or search for it.

  2. 2

    Sign in to PayPal

Choose Connect. PayPal asks you to sign in and allow access, then sends you back to Dora, connected. There's no key to copy.

  3. 3

    Ask, or tag it

Ask Dora in her chat or on a request, or type $PayPal to point her at it.

A few things to ask, and what she does with them.

  • Check who's paid

Ask "Has Acme paid the last invoice?" Dora checks PayPal.

  • See what's open

Ask "Which PayPal invoices are still unpaid?" Dora lists them.

  • Before you start

Ask "Did Halcyon pay the deposit?" Dora checks before work begins.

  • Your account, your connection

You connect PayPal for yourself. Dora uses it only when you ask, and nobody else on your team can reach your PayPal through her.

  • Read-only

Dora only gets the tools PayPal marks as read-only. She looks things up; she doesn't edit, delete, or send anything in PayPal.

  • A summary and a link

She brings in what the task needs, summarized, with a link back to PayPal, instead of pasting everything into the request.

  • Dora can check your PayPal invoices, like whether a client has paid. You connect your own PayPal account, and Dora reads from it when you ask: in her chat, on a request, or while you write one. She only reads, and brings back a summary with a link to the source.

  • The ones on your PayPal account. She reads them with your access.

  • No. She reads them. Invoicing and payments stay in PayPal.

  • Open Settings in Dora, find PayPal under Integrations, and choose Connect. You sign in on PayPal's own page and allow access, and you're sent back to Dora, connected. There's no API key to copy.

  • Only you. Each person connects their own apps, and Dora uses only the connections of the person asking. If a teammate needs PayPal too, they connect their own account.

  • Ask in plain words, like "check PayPal", or type $ and pick PayPal. It shows as a tag in comments and in Dora's chat, and tells her which app to use for that ask.

  • No. Integrations are on every Dora plan, including your free first client. Asking Dora counts toward your company's Dora allowance like any other ask, and your PayPal plan is separate.

  • In Dora, open Settings, find PayPal under Integrations, and choose Disconnect. Dora stops using it right away.
