Connect WordPress.com and Dora can check posts and pages on your sites, so content requests start from what's published and handovers are easy to confirm.

  1. 1

    Open Integrations

In Dora, open Settings and find WordPress.com under Integrations, or search for it.

  2. 2

    Sign in to WordPress.com

Choose Connect. WordPress.com asks you to sign in and allow access, then sends you back to Dora, connected. There's no key to copy.

  3. 3

    Ask, or tag it

Ask Dora in her chat or on a request, or type $WordPress.com to point her at it.

A few things to ask, and what she does with them.

  • Find the post

Ask "Find Acme's post about the spring launch on WordPress.com." Dora finds it and links it in the request.

  • Brief from what's published

Ask "What does Halcyon's services page say now?" Dora reads the page, so changes start from the current copy.

  • Plan content

Ask "Which Pinewood posts went out this month?" Dora lists them, ready for the monthly update.

  • Your account, your connection

You connect WordPress.com for yourself. Dora uses it only when you ask, and nobody else on your team can reach your WordPress.com through her.

  • Read-only

Dora only gets the tools WordPress.com marks as read-only. She looks things up; she doesn't edit, delete, or send anything in WordPress.com.

  • A summary and a link

She brings in what the task needs, summarized, with a link back to WordPress.com, instead of pasting everything into the request.

  • Dora can check posts and pages on your WordPress.com sites. You connect your own WordPress.com account, and Dora reads from it when you ask: in her chat, on a request, or while you write one. She only reads, and brings back a summary with a link to the source.

  • Sites hosted on WordPress.com, signed in with your WordPress.com account.

  • The WordPress.com sites your account can access. She reads with your access.

  • Open Settings in Dora, find WordPress.com under Integrations, and choose Connect. You sign in on WordPress.com's own page and allow access, and you're sent back to Dora, connected. There's no API key to copy.

  • Only you. Each person connects their own apps, and Dora uses only the connections of the person asking. If a teammate needs WordPress.com too, they connect their own account.

  • Ask in plain words, like "check WordPress.com", or type $ and pick WordPress.com. It shows as a tag in comments and in Dora's chat, and tells her which app to use for that ask.

  • No. Integrations are on every Dora plan, including your free first client. Asking Dora counts toward your company's Dora allowance like any other ask, and your WordPress.com plan is separate.

  • In Dora, open Settings, find WordPress.com under Integrations, and choose Disconnect. Dora stops using it right away.
