Connect Help Scout and Dora can look up a client's emails with your support team, so the request carries what support already knows.

  1. 1

    Open Integrations

In Dora, open Settings and find Help Scout under Integrations, or search for it.

  2. 2

    Sign in to Help Scout

Choose Connect. Help Scout asks you to sign in and allow access, then sends you back to Dora, connected. There's no key to copy.

  3. 3

    Ask, or tag it

Ask Dora in her chat or on a request, or type $Help Scout to point her at it.

A few things to ask, and what she does with them.

  • Find the support thread

Ask "Has Acme emailed support about the login issue in Help Scout?" Dora finds the conversation and sums it up.

  • Brief from the email

Ask "Open a request from Halcyon's latest Help Scout email." Dora reads it and writes the brief.

  • Know what's been said

Ask "What has Pinewood asked support about lately?" Dora reads their Help Scout history.

  • Your account, your connection

You connect Help Scout for yourself. Dora uses it only when you ask, and nobody else on your team can reach your Help Scout through her.

  • Read-only

Dora only gets the tools Help Scout marks as read-only. She looks things up; she doesn't edit, delete, or send anything in Help Scout.

  • A summary and a link

She brings in what the task needs, summarized, with a link back to Help Scout, instead of pasting everything into the request.

  • Dora can look up a client's emails with your support team. You connect your own Help Scout account, and Dora reads from it when you ask: in her chat, on a request, or while you write one. She only reads, and brings back a summary with a link to the source.

  • The mailboxes your Help Scout account can see. She signs in as you, with your access.

  • No. She reads them so the request has context. Your support team keeps answering in Help Scout.

  • Open Settings in Dora, find Help Scout under Integrations, and choose Connect. You sign in on Help Scout's own page and allow access, and you're sent back to Dora, connected. There's no API key to copy.

  • Only you. Each person connects their own apps, and Dora uses only the connections of the person asking. If a teammate needs Help Scout too, they connect their own account.

  • Ask in plain words, like "check Help Scout", or type $ and pick Help Scout. It shows as a tag in comments and in Dora's chat, and tells her which app to use for that ask.

  • No. Integrations are on every Dora plan, including your free first client. Asking Dora counts toward your company's Dora allowance like any other ask, and your Help Scout plan is separate.

  • In Dora, open Settings, find Help Scout under Integrations, and choose Disconnect. Dora stops using it right away.
