Connect Intercom and Dora can look up a client's conversations with your support team, so a request about a bug comes with what the client already told support.
- 1
Open Integrations
In Dora, open Settings and find Intercom under Integrations, or search for it.
- 2
Sign in to Intercom
Choose Connect. Intercom asks you to sign in and allow access, then sends you back to Dora, connected. There's no key to copy.
- 3
Ask, or tag it
Ask Dora in her chat or on a request, or type $Intercom to point her at it.
A few things to ask, and what she does with them.
Check with support first
Ask "Has Acme raised this bug with support in Intercom?" Dora finds the conversation and adds what matters to the request.
Brief with the customer's words
Ask "Add the steps Halcyon gave support in Intercom to this brief." Dora brings them in with a link to the conversation.
See the full picture
Ask "What has Pinewood asked support about this month?" Dora sums up their Intercom conversations next to their requests.
Your account, your connection
You connect Intercom for yourself. Dora uses it only when you ask, and nobody else on your team can reach your Intercom through her.
Read-only
Dora only gets the tools Intercom marks as read-only. She looks things up; she doesn't edit, delete, or send anything in Intercom.
A summary and a link
She brings in what the task needs, summarized, with a link back to Intercom, instead of pasting everything into the request.
Dora can look up a client's conversations with your support team. You connect your own Intercom account, and Dora reads from it when you ask: in her chat, on a request, or while you write one. She only reads, and brings back a summary with a link to the source.
The ones your Intercom account can see. She signs in as you, with your access.
No. She reads conversations so the request has context. Replies in Intercom stay with your support team.
Open Settings in Dora, find Intercom under Integrations, and choose Connect. You sign in on Intercom's own page and allow access, and you're sent back to Dora, connected. There's no API key to copy.
Only you. Each person connects their own apps, and Dora uses only the connections of the person asking. If a teammate needs Intercom too, they connect their own account.
Ask in plain words, like "check Intercom", or type $ and pick Intercom. It shows as a tag in comments and in Dora's chat, and tells her which app to use for that ask.
No. Integrations are on every Dora plan, including your free first client. Asking Dora counts toward your company's Dora allowance like any other ask, and your Intercom plan is separate.
In Dora, open Settings, find Intercom under Integrations, and choose Disconnect. Dora stops using it right away.
