Connect Ahrefs and Dora can pull backlinks, keywords, and rankings for a client's site, so SEO work starts from the data and results are easy to report.

  1. 1

    Open Integrations

In Dora, open Settings and find Ahrefs under Integrations, or search for it.

  2. 2

    Sign in to Ahrefs

Choose Connect. Ahrefs asks you to sign in and allow access, then sends you back to Dora, connected. There's no key to copy.

  3. 3

    Ask, or tag it

Ask Dora in her chat or on a request, or type $Ahrefs to point her at it.

A few things to ask, and what she does with them.

  • Keywords for the brief

Ask "Which keywords should Acme's new guide target, from Ahrefs?" Dora pulls the terms and their numbers into the brief.

  • Backlinks at a glance

Ask "Which new backlinks did Halcyon get this month in Ahrefs?" Dora lists them for the monthly update.

  • Rankings for the review

Ask "How did Pinewood's rankings move this quarter?" Dora pulls the change for the client review.

  • Your account, your connection

You connect Ahrefs for yourself. Dora uses it only when you ask, and nobody else on your team can reach your Ahrefs through her.

  • Read-only

Dora only gets the tools Ahrefs marks as read-only. She looks things up; she doesn't edit, delete, or send anything in Ahrefs.

  • A summary and a link

She brings in what the task needs, summarized, with a link back to Ahrefs, instead of pasting everything into the request.

  • Dora can pull backlinks, keywords and rankings for a client's site. You connect your own Ahrefs account, and Dora reads from it when you ask: in her chat, on a request, or while you write one. She only reads, and brings back a summary with a link to the source.

  • What your Ahrefs account and plan can see, like backlinks, keywords, and rankings for a site.

  • Yes. Lookups go through your Ahrefs account and count toward your Ahrefs plan.

  • Open Settings in Dora, find Ahrefs under Integrations, and choose Connect. You sign in on Ahrefs's own page and allow access, and you're sent back to Dora, connected. There's no API key to copy.

  • Only you. Each person connects their own apps, and Dora uses only the connections of the person asking. If a teammate needs Ahrefs too, they connect their own account.

  • Ask in plain words, like "check Ahrefs", or type $ and pick Ahrefs. It shows as a tag in comments and in Dora's chat, and tells her which app to use for that ask.

  • No. Integrations are on every Dora plan, including your free first client. Asking Dora counts toward your company's Dora allowance like any other ask, and your Ahrefs plan is separate.

  • In Dora, open Settings, find Ahrefs under Integrations, and choose Disconnect. Dora stops using it right away.
