Connect Airtable and Dora can look up records in your bases, like a content calendar or an asset tracker, and bring the right row into the request it belongs to.

  1. 1

    Open Integrations

In Dora, open Settings and find Airtable under Integrations, or search for it.

  2. 2

    Sign in to Airtable

Choose Connect. Airtable asks you to sign in and allow access, then sends you back to Dora, connected. There's no key to copy.

  3. 3

    Ask, or tag it

Ask Dora in her chat or on a request, or type $Airtable to point her at it.

A few things to ask, and what she does with them.

  • Brief from a record

Ask "Open a request for the next Acme post on our Airtable content calendar." Dora reads the record and writes the brief from its fields.

  • Answer from the base

Ask "What's the publish date for Halcyon's case study in Airtable?" Dora finds the record and answers with a link.

  • Read the comments too

Ask "What feedback is on Pinewood's brochure record?" Dora reads the record's comments, so nothing said there gets lost.

  • Your account, your connection

You connect Airtable for yourself. Dora uses it only when you ask, and nobody else on your team can reach your Airtable through her.

  • Read-only

Dora only gets the tools Airtable marks as read-only. She looks things up; she doesn't edit, delete, or send anything in Airtable.

  • A summary and a link

She brings in what the task needs, summarized, with a link back to Airtable, instead of pasting everything into the request.

  • Dora can look up records in your Airtable bases, like a content calendar. You connect your own Airtable account, and Dora reads from it when you ask: in her chat, on a request, or while you write one. She only reads, and brings back a summary with a link to the source.

  • The ones you allow when you sign in. Airtable asks which bases and workspaces to share, and Dora gets read access to those.

  • Yes. Along with records and the base's structure, she can read comments on records, read-only.

  • Open Settings in Dora, find Airtable under Integrations, and choose Connect. You sign in on Airtable's own page and allow access, and you're sent back to Dora, connected. There's no API key to copy.

  • Only you. Each person connects their own apps, and Dora uses only the connections of the person asking. If a teammate needs Airtable too, they connect their own account.

  • Ask in plain words, like "check Airtable", or type $ and pick Airtable. It shows as a tag in comments and in Dora's chat, and tells her which app to use for that ask.

  • No. Integrations are on every Dora plan, including your free first client. Asking Dora counts toward your company's Dora allowance like any other ask, and your Airtable plan is separate.

  • In Dora, open Settings, find Airtable under Integrations, and choose Disconnect. Dora stops using it right away.
