Connect Grain and Dora can find a recorded call and bring its highlights into a request, so the team hears the client's words, not a paraphrase.

  1. 1

    Open Integrations

In Dora, open Settings and find Grain under Integrations, or search for it.

  2. 2

    Sign in to Grain

Choose Connect. Grain asks you to sign in and allow access, then sends you back to Dora, connected. There's no key to copy.

  3. 3

    Ask, or tag it

Ask Dora in her chat or on a request, or type $Grain to point her at it.

A few things to ask, and what she does with them.

  • Quote the client

Ask "Add the Grain highlight where Acme describes the problem to this brief." Dora finds the moment and adds it with a link to the clip.

  • Brief from a recorded call

Ask "Write the brief for Pinewood's onboarding emails from yesterday's Grain call." Dora pulls the highlights into the request.

  • Find what was said

Ask "When did Halcyon first mention the Spanish site in Grain?" Dora searches your recorded calls and answers with the highlight.

  • Your account, your connection

You connect Grain for yourself. Dora uses it only when you ask, and nobody else on your team can reach your Grain through her.

  • Read-only

Dora only gets the tools Grain marks as read-only. She looks things up; she doesn't edit, delete, or send anything in Grain.

  • A summary and a link

She brings in what the task needs, summarized, with a link back to Grain, instead of pasting everything into the request.

  • Dora can find your recorded calls and pull highlights into requests. You connect your own Grain account, and Dora reads from it when you ask: in her chat, on a request, or while you write one. She only reads, and brings back a summary with a link to the source.

  • The recordings your Grain account can see. She signs in as you, so it follows your access in Grain.

  • No. She reads what she needs from Grain when you ask and links back to the recording, which stays in Grain.

  • Open Settings in Dora, find Grain under Integrations, and choose Connect. You sign in on Grain's own page and allow access, and you're sent back to Dora, connected. There's no API key to copy.

  • Only you. Each person connects their own apps, and Dora uses only the connections of the person asking. If a teammate needs Grain too, they connect their own account.

  • Ask in plain words, like "check Grain", or type $ and pick Grain. It shows as a tag in comments and in Dora's chat, and tells her which app to use for that ask.

  • No. Integrations are on every Dora plan, including your free first client. Asking Dora counts toward your company's Dora allowance like any other ask, and your Grain plan is separate.

  • In Dora, open Settings, find Grain under Integrations, and choose Disconnect. Dora stops using it right away.
